AposTherapy®

AposTherapy®

Living with knee, hip or back problems can make it hard for you to be as active as you would like to be, whether it be running a marathon or simply walking to the shops. If, like most of us, you would like to be more mobile but don't know where to turn, AposTherapy® offers an innovative, non-surgical solution that could help you be you again.

What is AposTherapy®?

AposTherapy® has been developed by orthopaedic doctors as an effective alternative to surgery.

This innovative therapy treats your problem at its source, by analysing and correcting the way you walk - based on a foot-worn biomechanical device calibrated specifically to you by our specially-trained physiotherapists.

Wearing these biomechanical shoes for just an hour a day will help retrain your muscles and optimise your walking pattern.

With every step you take, the shoes will relieve stress on your painful joints, and your muscles will be re-educated to work correctly again. This will bring your body into optimal alignment and create healthier walking patterns, resulting in lasting pain relief and improved mobility.

AposTherapy® addresses alignment and gait, and has been proven to help those who suffer with knee osteoarthritis, chronic knee pain, knee ligament damage, lower back pain, hip pain, ankle and foot pain.

Is AposTherapy® right for me?

With Wellbeing, you will have a free 30-minute initial consultation, to ascertain if the treatment is right for you.

If you decide to proceed with the treatment, you will have a 90-minute assessment where one of our specialist Physiotherapists will conduct an in-depth clinical evaluation of your condition, to gain a better understanding of what is causing your pain or mobility problems.

Based on the findings from this assessment, the physiotherapist will calibrate the biomechanical shoes specifically to your needs, to relieve pressure and re-train the muscular system around the joint.

Your treatment

Your AposTherapy® Certified Physiotherapist will develop a personalised treatment programme based on your individual needs.

The biomechanical shoes only need to be worn for around an hour a day and you can do this whilst you carry out your usual day to day activities.

Throughout the treatment programme, your Physiotherapist will monitor your progress and will recalibrate the shoes accordingly, to optimise results.

    Customer Feedback...

    • I'd been putting off going to my GP for a very long time but when my wife mentioned Wellbeing and that I could get an appointment the same week I thought I might as well go for it. I'm so glad I did, my Wellbeing Audiologist was so knowledgeable and took the time to explain both the Microsuction procedure and my condition to me. Understanding why my ears give me so much trouble also put my mind at rest, which has made me a lot happier

    • Thank you for seeing and assessing me so promptly. You really put my mind at ease and prevented an unnecessary trip to the GP which as it turns out would not have yielded any benefit or sorted out the problem I came to you about.
      Happy Customer, Chelmsford
I found your service thorough and professional. Additionally, I was really delighted to be able to have the time to discuss fully the issues with such an experienced professional. Indeed, following the assessment the advice and treatment you recommended appear to have sorted out a long term problem that was getting worse and causing me increasing pain and discomfort. Many thanks.
