We use evidence-based solutions to solve our clients’ everyday problems, including: Mobility & Falls, Personal Care, and Getting out & about.

Home Visit

Our Occupational therapist will come and talk to you in your home. In this way they are often best able to assess and help with overcoming the problems that you face in your own environment – such as assessing and advising on reducing the risk of falls.

Clinic Assessment

Our Occupational therapists can undertake an assessment and treatment in one of our clinics. Some problems are best overcome where we have access to specialist equipment.

Telephone Advice and Support

We can often help with simple advice, support and treatment for some problems over the telephone.

About Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy provides practical support to help people to improve recovery and overcome any barriers that stop them from doing the activities that matter to them. This helps to increase people's independence and satisfaction in all aspects of life.

Our Occupational therapist will consider all your needs - physical, psychological, social and environmental. This support can make a real difference to your life, giving you a renewed sense of purpose, opening up new horizons, and changing the way you feel about the future.

"Occupation" refers to practical and purposeful activities that allow people to live independently and have a sense of identity. This could be essential day-to-day tasks such as self-care, work, leisure, looking after the garden or pets.

Occupational therapists are skilled professionals who find solutions to everyday problems. For example; advising you on approaching a task differently, using equipment or assistive technology, adapting your living or working environment, and finding strategies to reach your chosen goals. We work with adults and children of all ages and with a wide range of conditions such as those who have difficulties due to a mental health illness, physical or learning disabilities.
