A word from our Managing Director, Paul Cooke, about who we are...

"We like to think Wellbeing is a little bit different - in the range of services we offer; the way in which you can access them; and most importantly, how we treat our customers.

Our vision is to be the go-to place when you need great care, providing you with 'more than just healthcare'.

Companies like to declare their values to define who they are and what's important to them and, in this regard, we are no different.

We firmly believe in ours as they are the lifeblood of our business and what we aspire to every day. They demonstrate how we work together, providing us with a common language that we (and we hope you) can recognise and relate to.

Who is Wellbeing?

Wellbeing exists to help bridge the gap between private healthcare and national health services. We were formed in 2017 from an organisation called Provide CIC that provides front-line NHS, and now serves over four and a half million people.

We recognise that in today's world people want the option of being able to make choices about their health and wellbeing but in these times of growing need and shrinking budgets, the NHS can't do everything - and there are some services that are more to do with personal wellbeing than physical health.

Our aim is to provide you with more than just healthcare, whether it's enabling you to access services you wouldn't normally be able to, or continuing with healthcare advice beyond that which is readily available.

Complementing the NHS

Wellbeing offers you a range of high quality, self-pay health and wellbeing services that are not readily available through the NHS. Our aim is to enable you to get the most from life - by improving both your health and your wellbeing. The types of services we offer fall into several categories including:

  • Services the NHS no longer provide, such as Vasectomies.
  • Services where there are access restrictions or long waiting lists, such as Autism Diagnosis which can have a waiting time of between 18 months and three years depending on your area.
  • Services where there are limitations on the type or number of treatments provided, such as Physiotherapy.
  • Services the NHS has never provided that are more focused on wellbeing such as wrinkle reduction and laser hair removal.

Treatment is offered on a 'self-pay' basis. You only pay for what you need and no private health insurance is needed.

Part of the Group

Wellbeing's parent company, Provide CIC, is a staff-owned community interest company that delivers community health and social care services across Essex, outer north east London and East Anglia. As part of the ever-changing NHS structure it was formed as Provide CIC in 2010 after a long history of delivering NHS services. As a community interest company, any surplus Provide CIC makes, by working more innovatively and effectively, is reinvested into the services and/or the local communities it serves.

Provide CIC's services are commissioned by the NHS and local councils, and are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Provide CIC delivers a wide range of health and social care services - employing around 1,000 people. Its staff deliver care from community hospitals as well as from community clinics and in people's homes. They are committed to delivering safe, effective and compassionate care and to ensuring that those who use our services have a positive patient experience.
