About Speech & Language Therapy

Speech and language therapy provides life-improving treatment, support and care for children and adults who have difficulties with communication, eating, drinking, or swallowing.

Speech and language therapists are allied health professionals who work closely with parents, carers and other professionals, such as teachers, nurses, occupational therapists and doctors.

Our clinicians treat problems in people of all ages, such as supporting infants with conditions such Cerebral Palsy or Cleft palate who have difficulty with drinking swallowing and communication.

We help children and their families with primary speech and overcoming difficulties such as stammering.  Our speech and language therapists have specialist skills in supporting adults with communication difficulty as a result of developmental disabilities such as autism or Down syndrome and as a result of medical conditions such as stoke, head and neck cancer, Parkinsons disease and Dementia.
