I have worked as a registered nurse since 1998, working first in hospital on surgical urology wards. However, I have always had an interest in primary care nursing, obtaining my BSc Hons degree as a Specialist Practitioner in District Nursing. I undertook further study at Essex University, qualifying as a non-medical independent prescriber. I then worked for several years as a Community Matron in North East Essex, with an emphasis on health promotion. I joined the team at Tollgate Clinic in 2016.
